Guys should I study the appendix in Ch4 Becker which is about the inventory accounting for retail methods? and one more thing should I care for the appendix in Ch9 the non for profit accounting chapter?

I would say both of those are very important. They can test you on any of the material though, all the tests are different.

i am personally skipping chapter 4 appendix. if they test me on it oh well ill take the 1 point MCQ hit. the cost/benefit is not worth it to me.

i dont study for a 100, i study for a 90. people burn themselves out trying to remember every single detail.

You should at least read over it. I studied it a little but I don't remember it being tested. That test is a bit of a blur at this point though.

While it might only be one point for a MCQ, it could be a lot more for a sim. Inventory sims are common I believe. Wink wink

I wouldn't worry about the retail inventory stuff, I know I skipped it. I can't remember what the Chapter 9 appendix was all about but considering it's Gov/NFP, I would read it over at least. In my opinion, you're better off on focusing on the larger topics.

Following retail theory question- answers from my notes . I have prepared notes based on mcq . there are lot more calculation.This would help u for exam .

1) when applying the retail inventory method, one must compute the total cost and total retail amounts for goods available for sale.
2) Some items are only included in one of these totals .
sales returns and markups only go into the retail column,

3)freight in only goes into the cost column.
4)Purchase returns are an adjustment to both columns.

5)Conventional retail (lower of average cost or market):
