I have been doing tax returns for friends and family for over a decade. We now have some additional family trust work that needs taken care of for next year. As of a few years ago I could no longer sign as a paid preparer, but I have now passed FAR and AUD this Aug/Sept, with REG and BEC likely to pass this quarter.
That said – how long will it take to process my license? – here is my situation:
12 years work experience in OK – I can get an experience letter from a former boss.
Registered to take CPA exams in ME back in April. Hold 2 of 4 credits.
Got a new Controller job in CO in June – need to transfer my ME credits to CO.
Have 150 college hours and 21 ACCT hours and am taking my final 9 hours at UNA, will be on transcript by Dec or earlier. What steps do I need to take to expedite the licensing ASAP after the BEC and REG scores come back and what is an estimated time frame?
