I heard from the AICPA today on whether to enter a 0 or leave a simulation answer blank:
Question: How does the Exam treat an answer where the correct answer is blank? If I remember correctly, that is where you have “no answer required.” Is that right? You would not expect a “0” in such an answer?
Answer: The directions to the questions will always state when a candidate is required to enter a zero (0) i.e. a cell left blank would be considered incorrect.
If there is no specific direction, then a candidate can either leave the cell blank or enter a zero (0). Although in many instances where a cell could be left blank or have a zero (0) entered, the instructions will specify.
