    Hi guys,

I’m afraid I’m too late in the game to even be considered in the big 4 internship pool. I’m 23, will be 24 in October. I graduated last may with a B.S. in Accounting. I’ve been working as a part-time financial reporting associate since then gaining experience and saving up $$$ to go back to school for my 150 (Not sure whether I want to do a Masters or just Community College credits).

Anyways, I’ve been trying so hard to get my foot in the door through referals but no luck yet.
I’d be happy to get an offer at any of them. The websites for all of the big 4 are terrible. I don’t see anywhere that you can apply for an internship through them on the websites.

    Any advice?
Should i wait til fall when it’s recruiting season for them and ask the people I know to send my resume again and in the meantime this summer go for my 150 while I’m waiting?

****My best bet is probably the Director of my department where I work now said she’d send my resume to the recruiter she knows at one of the big 4’s*****

    THANK YOU!!!

Don't give up, all I can say, but from my personal experience, the Big 4 really want the same candidate, a young student who has never had a job before so they can mold them into exactly what they want (I had recruiters from Big 4 firms that told me that), so you are at a little bit of a disadvantage given your situation. But it's still not impossible, I know a couple of people who got Big 4 offers even though they were older and in different stages of life. It's all about getting to know the right people, so just network as hard as you can and build solid relationships, and you'll be able to do it.

There is a 25yr old intern who is still not done with her undergrad. It is possible and you are not too late, but I would try as hard as possible to get the internship since your almost guaranteed a FT offer after it. once your in, your in. a bit harder to get in if not an intern since then you'd be going in as an experienced hire and probably have to be done with school already (which you are, experienced but many interns also have work experience)
