Big 4 On-boarding advisor?

I’ve been selected as an intern on-boarding advisor for my group at Big 4, and was wondering if this role is something you can put on your resume and should be proud of. I’m asking this question because the internship start dates conflict with my personal schedule as I’m planning to take PTO.

Thanks in advance for your response!

I do not know if people put that on their resumes. The role is basically be the person that the intern can turn to if they have questions and also be the person that they turn to get acquainted to the firm. Often times you will find that maybe that person might not reach out to you as much because they form a relationship with someone else that they turn to, to ask questions. I think when I was an onboarding advisor I just reached out every so often to see how things were going and occassionally take them to lunch. I did not like my advisor when I started at a Big 4 and so I never cared to get together with her.

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

Intern on-boarding advisor… sounds fancy, but this is just helping an intern navigate the waters during their few weeks with the firm. Don't think the “selection” process is all that selective either.
