I am wondering if someone used Becker’s Vedio lectures for Regulation. I found some Regulation lectures on YouTube and it was mainly high lighting topics and no wording to the passage or explaining it. Is it how it is for all lectures? I feel that I need to watch a lecture before I read a topic as that usually makes me go faster with reading and grasping concept.

I would say there is a lot of highlighting but I enjoyed the lectures and found that each lecturer explained the importance of things and why etc. I did all the lectures in every section of Becker as I thought it was a good way to get through the book rather than just reading it all on my own. They also help to watch because they highlight the MUST KNOW items so it helps you to focus in on things like that etc. That is my personal experience though so it is just up to you and how to study best

@jessica8926 did you mainly use Becker's for Regulations? How long did it take you studying for Reg? I started two days ago and I have not scheduled my test yet.

I exclusively used Becker for all my tests. I was not working at the time so I gave myself a month and a half. After I failed that time I started working again and therefore for my second attempt I gave myself 3 months. I was working 60 hours a week though so that is why I needed 3 months.

If you are not working and are studying full time you should be able to put in 40 hours a week assuming 8 hours each day. I would say you should budget a month to study. Becker does a nice job of setting up a “study plan” for you as well and I highly recommend you use that feature.

I'm one of the few who actually think Beckers lectures are a waste of time. I failed FAR and AUD after making sure to watch every single lecture, and passed BEC on the first try after cutting out lectures entirely. Literally did not watch one minute of one lecture for BEC. I realized that I was still going back re-reading and taking notes on everything I just highlighted and circled for 4 hours in the lecture. With Becker you get the e-book with all the circles and highlights included in the book that you spend 4 hours doing through lecture, so I just started skipping lectures and taking notes from the e-book. But what works for me may not work for you or anyone else. Just my opinion.

It depends on your personal learning style. In college, did you learn anything when you went to class? I never did. Generally, I skipped Becker lecture and I passed all exams on the first try. I always tried to read the book, because that always worked for me in high school and college.

For Reg, I got really tired and it was Christmas time, so I ditched reading, watched all the lectures for R5-R8, did the MC, and then I studied the e-book during my final review (I focused on the red pen markings and highlighting in the ebook.)

For FAR, I watched 80% of the lecture.
For AUD, I watched 15% of the lecture.
For REG, I watched 65% of the lecture.
For BEC, I watched 5% of the lecture.

Motivated by JC. I do it to make God proud.

i started with yaeger lecture but it was terrible; dr. yaeger made mistakes, corrected himself and moved on. some cases i saw him saying incorrect things. so i ditched yaeger and went with becker in its entirety. i thought the lectures, while they were lengthy covered pretty well; in fact, bus. law section was awesome with Becker. i took good notes and never had to re-listen. u should study IRC's whether you listen to lectures or not b/c there lies all principles/guidelines for reg principles.
