So I know people have posted about this before regarding BEC written communications but it seems to time consuming to search through so figured I’d ask the question again..

I’m comfortable with the spelling, grammar, etc.; however, I just want to make sure I’m on same page:

    Memo – No “Sincerely, XXX”

    Letter – Yes “Sincerely, XXX”

Everything else between memo and letter is basically same except for the sign-off..?

    Is that correct?

I really don't mean to confuse you if this comes out this way but think of it like this, memos are usually very informal, they get straight to the point and whatnot. Letters are a little more formal.

Memo- “Thank you for writing XXX to me regarding this XXX. I'd like to address this XXX”

Letter – “I'm writing in regards to the questions that you mentioned [insert long bg of the WC] that is affected by this and that”

Most of the WC examples I've read seem to start out that way. Good luck!
