    Hello,
I wanted to start my CPA journey longtime ago but was always scared of failure. And when I decided to go a head and try my dad discovered he had a terminal illness. so long story short I kind of postponed it to go visit and stay with him during my kids summer vacation. Now I want to start to be done with BEC before the 2017 change since they are saying that for Bec it is really huge change more than other parts.
I have to apply for new NTS because expired and also if going for Bec first then I have to buy a review course because I already bought Becker’s reg before deciding to postpone my plan and don’t want to waste any more time and money on something that is not right.
My question is now should I just go with Reg since I already have the material or just get Bec so I can get to have two trials (December10 and if didn’t pass then January) before the new change? I am worried about the writing part in Bec since English is my second language.

Is you REG access from Becker expiring soon? If it is I would just do REG first since you already paid for the material. REG is also changing a lot in April (it's getting longer) so it would be a good one to get out of the way. If REG isn't expiring for a while you might want to start with BEC so you have two shots at passing it before April like you mentioned.

In that case, I'd say take BEC and then REG.

I agree, if you start pounding out BEC RIGHT now, I don't see why you can't take BEC on the last day of this testing window. I have never used Becker and prob never will. But I do know that it took me five weeks for BEC and that's WITH fulltime work. After you finish BEC, I would pound out REG for Q1, you can do it!!

alison213 what did you use for BEC? I was planning on supplementing any review course that I would buy with Ninja notes and MCQ.

I used Becker and studied six weeks for BEC, which is about the same amount of time you have if you start studying now and take the test in December. I had also planned to supplement with Ninja MCQ's but it took me the full six weeks to get through the Becker material, including the review phase, so I ended up not being able to do that. But, Becker is very thorough and if you decide to use them for BEC you don't really need to supplement with anything.

I'm using Becker for BEC right now and am almost half way through the material. I'm gonna buy the Ninja MCQ to supplement too. I have my test on December 8
