I sat for FAR yesterday, and while I do not feel like I passed, I was thinking of sitting for BEC or AUD in this same testing window. Does anyone have a recommendation on which one I would have time to study for before December 10?

I just sat last Thursday and began studying AUD yesterday to take on Dec 7th. Yes, it's definitely doable. When you get into AUD you'll realize how much faster you can get through it compared to studying for FAR. I'm already 2 days ahead. I've only taken FAR and also feel that I've failed, but I believe AUD in 6 weeks is the ideal time frame

I would go with AUD. In order to conduct an audit you have to understand FAR. You'll see that knowing certain concepts will help you with the simulations on the test.

I studied for FAR for 2 months and AUD only took me about 15 days to go through and i spent 2 weeks reviewing. I probably could've been comfortable taking it in about 3 weeks.

One more vote for Aud, same reasons as above.

BEC has little relation to FAR. AUD is a better choice.

I just quit BEC Capital Budgeting section. The calculation of NPV is brutal….

lol 33% in that Gleim subunit. I “rage quitted” the final two MCQ and TBS

Although the reasons posted for AUD have merit, I would sugguest BEC.

This is my reasoning, under a short period of time, BEC and AUD are bot doable. Having around 1.5 months is considered a short period of time for me. BEC can certainly be completed in time for you to be ready for the test in December. I think you should attempt AUD only if you are 100% confident that you can complete the material and still have time for review.

I am in the same boat, I took and passed REG in August, took FAR Monday no idea how I did, I feel confident about 5/8 sims but the MCQ we're brutal and are always my struggle.
I'm going to start BEC today, with the intention of taking it this window, and AUD the first week of Feb before tax season kicks up. My reasoning for doing BEC first is I have a hard deadline Dec 10th for one, and the other I can push back if needed. and I think I can get through BEC faster/easier, but may need an extra week for audit because I have 0 audit experience and feel I have a stronger basis in cost accounting and general business decisions making concepts.
Good luck and I think either one is a good choice.

    AUD – no doubt.

FAR and AUD have a slight overlap. Studying both sections helps a candidate really understand the “whole picture.” I’ve seen a few questions on both my FAR and AUD exams that were overlap. Hell, I had an AUD Exam simulation that was really a FAR simulation!! There is a tiny overlap between BEC and AUD, but not the same as AUD and FAR.

Gooodluck and keep up the good work!

I'm going with Audit. I ran into a few old professors at an FICPA seminar I was at this week, and they all suggested Audit. They said to give myself a break from so many numbers so that's what I'm doing. Thanks for all the support!
