Hi, I have been studying BEC for probably 2 month with Becker. I reviewed all chapter did all my homework. I started using Ninja MCQs and at first I saw an increase in my scores but now I feel like I am going backwards. I score between 70-80% but sometimes even in the 50% range. I am pretty frustrated. I have no time to review all lectures since I work full time. What can I do? My trending score is only at 71% 🙁

Are you in the adaptive learning phase? The software is more likely to throw questions at you in areas where you are weakest which may explain the lower score every now and then. Which section is your weakest? If that section is more likely to be weighted heavily I would suggest drilling that for a few days and then flip back to all the sections and see if you notice a difference in your scoring. At least from my experience this has helped (for both FAR and REG… and hopefully AUD!)

    I have the same problem.

@AKCPA… My weakest areas are not covered in Becker ! I just read Ninja references regularly.
There are almost 300 MCQs remaining in Ninja that I need to cover. My average trending score is 74%.

I am just wondering if I am in a good position to take the exam !!!

    FAR 90 - 11/16/2015
    BEC 81 - 2/14/2016
    REG 87 - 5/23/2016
    AUD - 8/8/2016

Everyone who takes a CPA exam will have that week before test “mind f*ck” causing you to think you don't know anything.

Keep plugging away and you will survive.

    -----------------------------
    BEC - 77, 03/2015 (first try)
    FAR - 79, 05/2015 (second try)
    REG - 83, 12/2015 (first try)
    AUD - 84, 03/2015 (first try)

I got 99 problems but the CPA ain't one.

I felt the same way, and I am also on the same boat as you. I used becker for about 2 months, and I felt like it did help. Ninja is def the way to go before the exam though, based on my past experiences. That being said this is my first time using Becker. I dont plan on going back to Becker since I have about 9 days left.

So far I have 30 hours on Ninja MCQ.
    Total Attempts : 1634
    Questions not seen: 358
    Questions not answered correctly: 517
    Average Score: 82
    Trending : 85.83%

I usually just let Ninja pick the questions for me but I do have one session of 30 mcq, where I seem to be getting the lowest score. Right now that would be Operations Management.

I can probably get in about 210-240 MCQ a day, so that is the plan up until the exam. Pretty sure I can hit the review stage which will be the first time ever I hit the review stage in Ninja. for AUD and REG my Trending score was almost spot on to my actual score. Hopefully it will be the same for BEC.

I believe that Ninja MCQ just does a better job throwing you good questions and the format is more like the actual exam. When I was using Becker I felt like their questions didn't help as much as the Ninja MCQ. Just feel like Ninja MCQ simplifies it, yet it gives you some tricks to watch out for so you better understand the material. Becker puts in way too many unnecessary things which I feel does not help me get a better grasp of the material. That is just my opinion but good luck! I hope we all pass this beast.

    FAR 81
AUD 65, 84 (Used Ninja MCQ which I say contributed to my huge increase in score I love you Jeff)
REG 87 (CPA excel Wiley Self Study Book, Ninja 10 point combo)
BEC 86! I Must Pass or I lose my FAR Credit, Pray for me(Becker, Wiley, WTB, Ninja MCQ, Ninja Notes)

    DONE!!!!!!

Using : Wiley CPA Exam Review Textbook, Wiley TB, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQ

Oh I also did complete the WTB going through each question once, and got an average of a 75% before I moved on to Ninja MCQ. WTB IMO does not help too much. I feel like a spokes person for Ninja MCQ lol

I am also in the same boat. I am retaking BEC this Friday and the scores I have been getting are lower than I was achieving earlier on in the MCQ. I just keep plugging away and hope some of the trouble areas stick before Friday.

Hey Terry just wondering with your first attempt at BEC what material did you use, and how much did you study? Just wondering if this is the first time using Ninja MCQ or did you also use it with your first attempt.

yes, I am in the adaptive learning phase. Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense. I also discovered that I can review only new questions which I am doing now. I am scoring at around 66% which of course brought my trending score down to 68%. I am not sure if I can do this. I feel a bit frustrated but I will keep looking at the questions.. Here are my stats as of now….

    Average Trending Score

    Economics 55%
    IT 57%
    Financial Mgt 59%
    Ops Mgt 71%
    Corp Gov 73%
    Strategic Planning 93%

Stgeorge The first time I took BEC I was just using CPAexcel studying about 12 hours a week. The 2nd attempt I had to put off for a bit because we were moving, but I used NINJA MCQ the second time around and it helped me grasp a couple of concepts I know killed my first score.
