How detailed should I look into IT with my studies? I finished the chapter with becker and made flashcards but I feel like there’s so much information, and I’m the type of person that basically needed help signing into this website…

jonnybgood2321, IT part of the exam can make you fail it if you dont know enough detail. I hated it will all my heart. I took BEC twice and in both exams I had enough COSO,Economics, and IT questions to make me fail it if i did not know enough detail. I think this is the reason why students always get the lowest scores on BEC out of the 4 exams.

Agree with the comments above, I had many COSO, IT and economics questions as well. If you are uncomfortable with IT, try to focus on understanding the concepts and flow for different types of systems rather than trying to learn through MCQs. Once you go over the material few times, memorize some stuff, and understand how things fit with each other, start MCQs slowly and try to understand what part of IT they relate to. After a while, more things will make more sense, and you will be able to figure out why some of the choices will not work even if you can't even understand what exactly they are asking in the question.

I can say that COSO and IT are crucial so I would definitely spend time on them.

    Hope these help.

There is a link that monikernc posted in the BEC study group thread (it should be in the 20s) that was COSO and cloud computing, this is a great filler for the Becker information. Otherwise, Becker does a good job in preparing you for IT. Know the mnemonics and how they apply to situations.

Yes to above post (cant stress enough!)

Also, if you are using Becker I suggest you read the IT chapter and the appendix three times. Also supplement that chapter with the Ninja notes chapter on IT. I feel that Jeff does an excellent job in breaking down the concepts.

Also, come exam day, you will see that you may have not covered every single IT question they throw at you (calm down) and use your basic knowledge as well as your common sense and apply that to answering the question.
