BEC – IT Appendix

    For those who have taken BEC – how important is the IT Fundamentals Appendix in Becker’s book? Would you recommend studying it thoroughly? Looking over it? Irrelevant? Any thoughts/experiences appreciated.

    Look over it just incase. Don't spend too much time, just maybe skim and then answer the questions on it. Will probably just help with your overall understanding of the IT sections

    @CPA2bee, I didn't use Becker so I can't speak to the section you are referring but I would definitely recommend looking it over. I felt I wasn't as prepared in this area as I should have been after taking this section.

    I didn't get much IT stuff on my exam, let alone the appendix stuff. Whenever I came across an appendix in the Becker books I simply skimmed it once and didn't ever review it. But I made sure to do the MCQ's on it at least once. Remember, it's important you study the most heavily tested stuff the most. If you feel you are comfortable with that, then why not study the appendix, just don't get bogged down in it.

    What did you get heavily tested on (if not IT) b/c I hear IT is big?

    @debit HAAAAAAAAAAAA….

    But yeah, I got a few IT q's but not the appendix stuff. In all my tests I don't recall ever getting an appendix Q.
