So EVERYONE who has recently taken BEC has talked about how difficult and random the COSO and IT questions were. Could anyone please share any source of study information for these sections that include the hard questions? It seems ridiculous that none of the major study guides (which I have) seem to fully cover these tough IT sections.

I took BEC about 2 weeks ago (found out I passed last night) and although I did not have many COSO oriented questions I did have quite a few foreign IT questions…I am using Becker so I can really only shed light on that specific review material but I think that if you nail down the IT section in Becker you should be prepared for the exam. Some of the questions were, as you said, random but I felt as though I was able to narrow down an answer through reason. Again, not sure what review material you are using, but if you are using Becker I would suggest that you also lend time to going through the IT chapter appendix at least once (especially if you, like me, are unfamiliar with general IT framework). I reviewed the IT chapter, in full, several times shortly before my exam. Hope this helps!

I just found out I passed last night too!

Honestly, those questions were so confusing I can't even direct you anywhere because I didn't even understand the questions half the time when it came to IT. I think they might be pretest or super hard questions worth more because I still passed!

If I had studied and outlined the Becker IT chapter the days before I took the exam I would have likely added 10 points to my grade. I passed but I should have done better. I think Becker has everything you need to know in their review and I suspect most of the other review resources do as well. The Becker and Ninja MCQ's on IT just weren't as detailed as the actual test questions were.
