Should I wing it and move my BEC exam up? Here’s the backstory….

I just finished going through all the Becker video lectures, skills practices, MCQs, simulations, and flashcards for BEC. This process took me a month and a half, since I work 45 hours a week and have a lengthy commute to work on top of that. (I did everything except for the 3 full length mock exams.) My BEC exam is currently scheduled for March 9th (3 weeks from now). I am thinking of moving my exam up (to sometime this week), since things are about to get really hectic at work (we are transitioning to an entirely new accounting system and adding an additional team member whom I will have to train). I think I will end up working 50-60 hour weeks for the next three weeks and won’t have much time to study. I’m worried I’ll forget the material. Should I wing it and move my BEC exam up? Is skipping the full length practice exams a terrible idea (if I take the exam this week, I won’t have time to do any of those)?

Ps. BEC is my last exam, and I passed all the others on the first try using Becker and following all the steps including the mock exams (FAR 78, REG 78, AUD 83). My FAR score won’t expire until Dec 2020, so while I would be devastated if I failed BEC, I have time to retake it, without risking loosing my other credits.

I’d move it up. BEC was my last exam too and similarly passed all exams on first go. I didn’t want to risk so I took the extra time to make sure I passed. Took 7 weeks until I felt right and passed. I think everyone pretty much works full time and commutes and such so I’d focus on your exam prep solely and not outside noise. Take the exam when you are ready. It’s a tricky test so I wouldn’t take it lightly. Good luck.
