So heres my dilemma. I got a b4 offer in one city and my wife is getting transferred to another city for her job. what are the chances of me getting a transfer within a year or so? I want to be with my wife, but I also am pretty stoked about my upcoming job. Let me know what the deal is.

quid_pro_quo, it is possible, but: (1) there usually needs to be an opening within the office you're transferring to, or (2) if there's no official opening you need to be considered a top performer (“exceeds expectations” rating at year-end typically) for the firm to create one for you. Also, be prepared to be interviewed by the team you'll be transferring to. Many people assume it's automatic, but they can actually refuse to accept you, so it's basically a job interview.
