That was one tough test! I found the MCQ to be harder than the simulations. I left taking REG and FAR feeling good about the MCQ and knowing I missed at least half of three SIMS and ended up getting an 86 and 89. This time I feel like I missed a lot of multiple choice, but feel confident I got the majority of seven SIMS correct and potentially missed half of one. Finished the test with 24 minutes left. Should have used that time to review the multiple choice, or take time on SIMS. Oh well. I like that these SIMS had many more questions to them than the other tests. More that you can miss that way.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am taking AUD later this month, after a devastating 74 (and a 69 prior to that).

What study materials did you use?
How did you allocate your review (i.e last week or so before exam)?

Are the SIMS manageable? Are the MCQs manageable?

Just need a pass badly …74 last time hurt. Q3 I took it and the exam was very fair and just kicking myself now.

did you get 2 research questions? How many DRS did you get? were they at least manageable ? how much time did you allocate for SIMS?

@shawn in VA, Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about he 74. That must be rough. I only used Wiley for audit. I used Wiley and Ninja for REG and FAR and think it made a big difference. The MCQ explanations in Wiley are too thin. If I didn't pass, then I will get Ninja as a supplement as the descriptions to the questions are much better. Too bad the price went up for Ninja-that is the reason I didn't buy it for audit. For this reason, I felt the MCQ weren't very manageable for me. Some of them I was completely lost in. Sort of like how it felt with the government MCQ on FAR that I wasn't sure of. It was like I had never seen the topic in all of the material I had studied. Hopefully those ones were pretest questions.

I allocated my review in the last week by reading focus notes, doing a practice exam, and then reading the textbook and watching videos on weak areas. I never really caught my stride with studying for audit. Maybe it is partially due to burnout since this is the third test in three months. Partially it is due to the density of the material. I much rather prefer math problems. If you know how to solve a particular math problem, then it doesn't matter what they throw at you. With audit there are so many nuances in verbage that makes it boring to read and hard to remember.

The SIMS were really manageable. For me the SIMS were way easier than the MCQ and hopefully that will carry me through to a pass. For all three tests the DRS and the research are my favorite. Seems like there are a lot of gimmies in the DRS where you don't even need to reference the supplemental information to answer them. I feel I better not disclose how many DRS and how many research questions were on there due to the confidentiality thing… I finished the MCQ testlets in one hour and ten minutes so had 2 hrs and 50 minutes for the SIMS.

I agree with your thoughts on Wiley as the explanations are weak. I have Wiley, Roger, and purchase Ninja off and on (audio, notes, and MCQs). Thanks for your explanations and best of luck Dec 19. I noticed you left a lot of time for SIMS. I gave myself almost 2.50 hours for SIMS and had 8 mins left. I hear the pass rates in Q4 are lower, which has me even more nervous and studying harder.
