I take audit for the 5th time on 7/18/16.

My scores in order have been 71, 70, 73, 73. I have already passed BEC and REG with scores in the 80’s. I trend in the 90 percent on both ninja MC and Becker.

Firstly, does anyone know if I will have any DRS SIMS on my test 7/18/16? If so, how can I study for them? Becker and Ninja don’t have examples as of now.

Secondly, does anyone have any advice on how to get me over the hump. I can’t seem to pass this thing….

I am right there with you…69, 63, 73…and taking it again July 19th (already passed FAR and BEC and waiting for results on REG)

My plan is to reread the Becker chapters (again) and do all the Ninja MCQs.

Any word on the 10 point combo (more specifically the Ninja textbook vs the Becker textbook)?

Ooo we're taking audit the same day! I'm having a harddd time paying attention to this material… whats your study plan? I would say you would be fruitless to spend more time on MCQs that you have probably memorized by now, and spend more time skimming concepts with a fine tooth comb, picking up small points here and there. You're so close already

or for the mcqs you have done, do the reverse and find the 3 answers that are wrong, and tell yourself why they are wrong.

What I am doing for studying is, I reset my statistics for both Becker and Ninja MC. I am reading through all of the highlighted information in the becker book, and as I finish each section of the chapter, I do the multiple choice for each one. After finishing all of the MC, I am doing all of the SIMS. Then I am going and doing each chapter's MC for Ninja. Then I do progress reports of what chapters I have done thus far.

Not sure what other strategy to implement at this point. I know the information very well.

I am retaking Audit 7/18/16 as well. I also am using Becker and I reset my statistics. I go through two chapter each week reading and taking notes on the material ( I listen to the lectures as background noise while at work since they really do nothing for me). I really noticed, by not just reading the highlighted sections Becker mentions, but going through and handwriting all the information in my own words I have done exceptionally better on the end of chapter questions. After taking the notes I do the Becker MCQ and Simulations. I am going to buy Ninja MCQ during my final review and just do those non stop till I have concepts as close to down as possible. first and foremost, i appreciate your dedication and you can and will do this, have been there with ya

now for my two cents… got a 96 on it and consider myself a moron

from my perspective this is a reading comprehension exam for the MC..therefore, take your time, answer all of the questions, go back and read them carefully again, they are VERY tricky sometimes…you have PLENTY of time so relax

sims advice – know how to use the AL – i spent a lot of time dicking around with the AL in Becker…so if a practice SIM asked for something about a standard audit report i knew to look up “Exhibits” in the AL and there are examples of every single type of audit report you can pull verbatim to answer the question.

also, if you find a big word you have never seen before or forgot the definition or looks funny type the word in “quotes” and it might shoot you exactly to what you are looking for. i was able to use the AL to pull almost everything verbatim when i had my exam.

regarding the DRS it will just have a few different tabs with information to sift through and will be a piece of cake for you…don't worry about it just take your time and try to relax

Thank you very much for your advice. I will definitely take it to heart and try to practice using the AL when doing Becker SIMS.

And yes, it has been a long road with this exam. I started back in 2013, really didn't study much, and never passed any exams. Then in November of 2015, I took REG and passed with a 83, took AUD twice and got two 73's, and then skipped to BEC and got a 82. I HAVE to get AUD done now and get to FAR. I think you are right that I might not be reading the questions close enough. I know the information and just don't understand why I haven't been able to pass.
