I took my audit exam today and feel really bad about the task based simulations. I think I did really good on the multiple choice questions. Went from medium to difficult to difficult. Has anyone else passed and felt like they only got about half of the tbs’s correct?

Yes. I killed the MCQ and was sketchy, at best, on the sims and scrapped by with a 78. You have a shot. Good luck.

Sounds like my exam but I don't think I even got half the SIMS correct. (my two Research questions are probably the only thing I knew for sure)

    BEC - 78 (August 2015)
    FAR - 80 (November 2015)
AUD - 73, 67. (Ok I gotta confess I was even more lazy this time around)
    REG - August 27th, 2016

Hi, I took my exam today as well however, i kind of never notice any increase in the difficulty of the MCQs, maybe it was because I was expecting them to be harder and never noticed. Regarding the simulations well, I had 2 research questions that i know i got right, there was 1 sim that i know i got completely wrong (hoping its the one that doesn't count) and the other four i feel i did a pretty nice job. Overall I feel very ambiguous because I don't feel like it was hard nor I feel it was too easy. I guess the only thing left is to wait till score release date to confirm my 75 or more score!! Gotta stay positive!!! 😛

    AUD - 63, 74
    REG - TBD 6/10/2016
    BEC - TBD (2Q or 3Q)
    FAR - TBD (3Q or 4Q)

For my retake – thought I bombed the SIMS (literally guessed 100% on 3 of them, only felt decent about 2 of them) and thought I smoked the MCQs. Ended up passing with a 82, and oddly enough the SIMS were the only area where I was “Stronger” on the score report.

I think the AICPA came out swinging with the AUD SIMS this first quarter and everybody is bombing them. If you feel good about MCQs, I wouldn't sweat it.

    FAR - 80
    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    REG - 85

    ETHICS - 90

@CPA2BEE. I have noticed a lot of people talking about the difficulty of the sims this quarter as well. At least I am not alone on this. Just want a 75. Really don't want to have to study this all over again. This was a retake for me after getting a 74. Long wait ahead of me for my score. Time to open the BEC section and begin.

@JoshWV What prep course did you use? If Becker, did you feel that the Becker SIMS were comparable to the actual exam?

Yup, I BOMBED the sims, and still passed with a 79. If I could go back, I would memorize JE's just like I am for FAR

    BEC 80
    REG 90
    AUD 79

@pleasedontdeletethanks Im in the same boat you were in, I feel like I absolutely bombed the sims but crushed the MCQ… 78 would be clutch. That user name though LOL, just got a post deleted the other day.

I took the audit exam on 2/25/16

I believe i got medium-hard-hard/medium (more likely medium)

Got 2 research questions.. confident I got them right

    2 simulation i believe i got at least 2/3 or as I hope…

other 3 simulations I had to take educated guess.

AL did not help for simulation unlike in FAR. I feel lost and confused, but we will see on March 9…

Summary: MCQs were doable. SIMs were tough.

Materials: Wiley book + Ninja MCQ

    FAR - 83 (Jan 2016)
    Study time: 6 weeks
    BEC - 87 (April 2016)
    Study time: 2 weeks
    AUD - 92 (July 2016), (74 Feb 2016), (72 May 2016)
    Study time: 4 (Feb) + 2 (May) + 3 (July) = 9 weeks total
    REG - (70 April 2016)
    Study time: 3 weeks

While it's great to get both research questions correct (I had two also), everything I've read, unfortunately, says that if you get two research questions, one of them is the pretest and all your other SIMS will count

    BEC 75
    REG 81
    FAR 69, 75
    AUD 71, 74, 84

The thing is nobody knows except AICPA..

I wish rumors are not true but I also heard it is more frequent to get 2 research as knowing how to research is also critical.

I also got 2 research for my FAR in Jan 2016
