Audit as first exam

    Hi all!

I am finishing up my credits now and am planning to sit for the 1st exam at the end of the Q3 testing window(around Sept. 1). My plan is to take May off and then start studying the Tuesday after Memorial Day.

I don’t have any audit experience but from what I have been reading it is a good place to start. I plan on purchasing Wiley to study. I am also taking a 10 day vacation in July and I really would prefer not to study during that time. I also work full time(8-5) with about a 30 minute commute.

Does this seem like a plausible goal? I know everyone is different but does anyone have any tips to get the most efficient amount of studying in? I am definitely not the best at studying so I think setting aside more time will be best for me.

Any opinions, helpful advice, etc. is welcomed as I am very new to this!

That sounds like a good plan, from day one I have studied for these exams and worked full time. I even took REG during busy season (not recommended) so it can be done. Just take your time and only buy NTS' you are ready to sit for (i.e. don't buy all 4, buy one at a time so you don't have to worry about expiring NTS'). Also, be prepared for early mornings and late nights on the books. If only these exams were the only things on our plate, but some of us don't have it so easy 🙂 You got this.

    Best of luck
