Thinking of retaking AUD at the end of this month (22nd). I got a 70 the first time. I restarted studying the 19th of December putting in between 3 – 4 hours each day whenever I can due to holidays and working. I restarted my statistics on Becker to begin fresh. I decided to also supplement with Ninja MCQ.

I try to do around 200 MCQ to 250 MCQs from both Becker and Ninja in a day whenever I can along with a few SIMS from each chapter. Within these 200-250 MCQs I do a 50 question progress test from Becker and another from Ninja. I am also re writing my notes and looking at other sources of information whenever I can.

Is my timetable too soon, should I push back another week? Current Ninja MCQ trending score 78% & AVG Progress Test Score with 50 questions 80 – 90%.

    BEC – 10/1/16 : 77
    AUD – 12/4/16 : 70
    REG – TBD
    FAR – TBD

How did you do on the Becker SIM? I think for AUD, multiple choice questions alone will not tell you if you're ready.

I scored 70 to 80% becker homework without reading the book 1st attempt. average in the high 80s my second attempt but realized I am not ready when I did the SIM. I need to review the wordings for the audit reports and some of the audit procedures. I'm not sure if you could rely on homework questions only for AUD. Its a word for word exam in contrast to the others.

Adding: although since this is your second attempt. I'm sure you have already spent a few weeks reviewing your weak points so you might be more than ready.

It's hard for someone else to say whether you are taking it too soon or you need more time. you will find varying responses because some people believe in studying for a shorter period and taking the exam. And then you have people that take their time to study a section and have been successful.

I am working on my audit retake and will only be studying for 3 weeks. I got a 73 the last time. My trending score was in the 80s the last time which this time around it means nothing to me. I am making sure I truly understand the material. I am watching my lectures and working through the questions for my review course. And then next week my goal is to work through as many Ninja MCQs as I possibly can not focusing on how many questions but more on the quality of my studying. After than i am going to spend the last week going through the Becker Final review and working through each question and sim that they have. Whether that will work or not I shall see.

Some people have been successful in their retakes just by working MCQs like crazy.

@goingallin I do fairly well with sims . My first test attempt I did very well with sims my score report said I did stronger than others in that area. Coming out of the test I knew I did better in that area opposed to MCQs. I can manage just about any SIM except for some CH 5 and CH 4 sims.

I’m still doing sims in my review, just not doing as many as I did before. I am also doing the Ninja sims as well.

@ruggercpa2b I’ve been rewriting my notes doing MCQ’s like crazy and trying to focus on my weaker areas. I’m starting chapter 4 tonight this was my worst chapter I knew that going into the test. Along with Ch 1.

Chapter 4 was my nightmare as well and i didnt spend as much time. I just hoped that the exam would be kind and I would not get many questions on it. I was wrong.

I think you are fine. Just stick to your schedule and make sure you are reviewing everything and also hitting your weak areas.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

@ruggercpa2b it's that damn second section of that chapter. I'm listening to Roger's CPA to see if they offer a better take on it
