I skipped the mnemonics and focused on learning report language and fully understanding the processes and assertions.

No, I didn't make any big outlines. I just read and re-read the reports and studied the process/sampling and assertions sections of the book until I understood the processes as a whole. And I did 8,003 MCQs.

I watched the course videos and read the book, but I don't take many notes at all. Your mileage may vary, of course.
