AUD: Do or Die

Just took AUD for the 6th time yesterday…yeah, 6th. This comes after a 73 and two 74s while passing BEC in between.

If I failed yesterday then I lose credit for FAR and if I pass I’m done. Either way I’ll end up sitting on the floor drinking whiskey the day of the score release.

Exam Experience Note: I think AUD might be the one test where the exam questions are actually harder than the study/practice questions. The people who write the AUD exam are a crafty, creative, bunch of shit heads.

    FAR: 66, 75
    AUD: 67, 69, 70, 74, 74
    REG: 71, 79
    BEC: 73

Have you gotten any simulations that you saw on previous exams?

I actually have gotten this one question twice but obviously I can't go into detail about it.

Two of the exams I got lucky and the Sims were either easy or the answers were word for word in the AL. Of course I didnt do as well on the MCQ on those attempts.

Good luck Tony! I can't imagine the feeling of either being done or having to pass two more! Would be a steady diet of Jameson for me as well lol. I was fortunate to only have to take AUD “twice”. I feel like BEC is going to become for me what AUD has been for you.

    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

    This –

The people who write the AUD exam are a crafty, creative, bunch of shit heads.

I try to explain this to people and no one seems to understand just how awful it is. How hard could words be??

Thank you for the heads up.

From your experience, do they usually heavily test Audit Sampling and Transaction cycles?

Bro, that's how my REG exam was last Saturday. It doesn't matter how much you prep, the wording will throw you off. Bunch of slick bastards!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

@mtaylo24– I'm preping for REG now and every time I gain confidence, I feel like it soon gets shut down by the awful/crafty wording of problems. — I'll have concepts down, but because I missed a word, or didnt read the chinese/fine print right.. just throws everything off. How frustrating…

-also took AUD twice May 68, July 70 — “The people who write the AUD exam are a crafty, creative, bunch of shit heads.” — couldn't have said that any better

hahah.. I will never forget this one question… I wanted to scream BS at the computer because all 4 responses were so identical in meaning, and the underlying concept of the question was so simple… and I got it wrong.. of course I chose the wrong one of 2 that I narrowed it down to… -____-

@golfball7773 – Most likely Gentleman Jack but if I feel like punishing myself I'll reach for the Evan Williams

Like an asshole, I had about 5 min left and used the AL to look up a few questions I wasn't sure of from the MCQ. I realized I had gotten 3 easy ones wrong. I went from feeling good about the test getting harder and having manageable sims to feeling like shit because of those 3 questions I looked up.

I'm having an end of summer “box social” at my house two days after score release. I didn't plan it well because if I get a shitty score next Thursday it's going to be awkward when my guests come over and see everything broken in my house and pieces of living room furniture on the front lawn.
