KeymasterNINJAs,
I don’t like missing people’s questions here on the forum, but I’m sure that I do – especially when I don’t re-visit a thread.
So – I’m trying something new.
If you have a question for me, please post it here.
Some loose guidelines, please:
– Please don’t post a customer service question here.
Instead, please email support@another71.com and we’ll jump on it.
– Please keep your question to 3 sentences or less.
It keeps you from spending your time writing a novella, when that time is better spent studying. It helps me to quickly get to the “heart” of question.
– Please make your question study advice/study tip related (not technical or MCQ related).
…Something that I can quickly answer vs needing to go research a technical CPA Exam question.
If it’s a NINJA MCQ question…please email it to support@another71.com with a screenshot, the question # and what the question/concern is about the MCQ and I can better address it that way.
– Finally – Please only post in here if you have a question.
I’ll get dizzy sifting through who has a question vs who is responding.
To Your Success,
jeff

InactiveHey Jeff,
So these are all the sections included on the REG MCQ outline. Many sections have been removed or changed according to the AICPA blueprints but the feedback is inconsistent across all CPA review material providers. Is there a definitive source and answer as to which sections to ignore for REG and if any new material or updates to our content will be provided? As a study material provider, I feel this should have been more deliberately addressed. If I never logged onto this site and just continued studying, I would have wasted many days and hours. I still am not 100% certain as to whether or not I am studying for removed topics or not.
So which topics should we ignore? Can you just put a strikethrough all the topics and copy and paste the response? Thank you.

I agree – I should have been more deliberate about this. I have the highlights of content removed in the NINJA Notes, but never circled back to do it for NINJA MCQ. I made this spreadsheet this morning – I think this may be what you're looking for.

ParticipantHi Jeff,
Why has the Ninja MCQ's not been updated for the new changes yet though? I have been doing them and keeping getting questions on negotiable instruments and federal tax legislative processes and other things that might not need to be tested. It really takes a lot of time to keep reading questions and figuring out if I need to know it or not. Is there any way I can keep these questions out when I am going through the MCQ? Also, it is not as encouraging to not know how many questions I have left and have to keep weeding through those questions that should have been removed.
I really love your stuff and think you have the best product out there but this does not seem right to not keep it updated for the new changes. I get once in a while I might run into a question but it happens very often.

ParticipantHi Jeff,
For Audit, do you think it would be beneficial to go over all the simulations provided in Ninja? I know the obvious answer is yes, but I wasn't sure if you thought that would be good to devote that much time to all of them.

ParticipantIf it were me ā I would take BEC since they will still be figuring things out score wise and SIM-wise. I can't really articulate why per se, but I think being one of the guinea pigs is advantageous vs waiting until later.
@jeff – another71.com
How long do you call later? How long do you think they will be figuring things out? I ask because I haven't been studying and planning to start again and be ready for the July/August window.
Also how can I create a signature? I keep getting a message to create one but don't see any places to do it

ParticipantI understand where you are coming from but there is a workaround that takes a minute of setup prior. Go into custom and the deselect the below sections. None of them will appear so you wont waste time and questions while actually doing the questions.
1A 2: AICPA Statements on Standards for Tax Services (41)
2C 2: Negotiable Instruments (84)
2C 4: Documents of Title and Title Transfer (20)
3 A: Federal Tax Legislative Process (8)

Keymaster@greenolive – a very fair question. It's a technical issue and the list is a temporary fix. One could say that it should have been done a long time ago – and they would be right. The alternative is to take the MCQ down completely but I have no idea how much downtime that would be – it could be bad, so I'm working on a solution…more to come on that soon, hopefully. In the meantime, the bandaid – while annoying, will still work.
“For Audit, do you think it would be beneficial to go over all the simulations provided in Ninja? I know the obvious answer is yes, but I wasn't sure if you thought that would be good to devote that much time to all of them.”
I would say 70/30 or 80/20 MCQ to SIMS … so 75/25? I've changed my opinion on sim study and their importance.
“(quote) If it were me ā I would take BEC since they will still be figuring things out score wise and SIM-wise. I can't really articulate why per se, but I think being one of the guinea pigs is advantageous vs waiting until later.

1) Later is after July/August testing window … they will figure out which sims are pretest by then.
2) Try your account now please … I toggled something with the sigs.

ParticipantHi Jeff,
I failed Aud in March. I tried to squeeze it in before the new test and didnt study all the material. I now have 4 weeks left and started from scratch. I am up to the 2nd chapter of the Becker materials. I also bought Ninja MCQ and Ninja notes. what should my plan of action be? I'm worried I wont have time to finish all the material and take notes as I am a slow studier. Thanks

Then – switch to your Becker MCQ and then go to NINJA MCQ. The entire time – every spare minute – read the ninja notes. No facebook. No fantasy baseball. Only NINJA Notes, Becker MCQ, and NINJA MCQ.
Plan B: If you can't get through the Becker videos in a weekend – watch the NINJA PLUS videos – you'll see them on ninjacpareview.com
Actually that's what I would do – and those videos helped me pass AUD in 2.5 weeks-ish.
You still have time – 4 weeks is enough – you have to really hustle, however.

ParticipantHi Jeff,
I will take REG on 23rd May using Gleim material, so far I finished 50% of the REG material (tax) and I am taking leave starting from today for final review and completing the remaining topics, but I feel overwhelmed due to the huge numbers of formula and rules in Tax!
for the remaining material still, I did not review and I need your advice for time management and topic to focus since I start to use the test preparation on study mode multiple questions to gain the time by practice and reading the topics! Thanks.
