    NINJAs,

    I don’t like missing people’s questions here on the forum, but I’m sure that I do – especially when I don’t re-visit a thread.

So – I’m trying something new.

If you have a question for me, please post it here.

    Some loose guidelines, please:

    – Please don’t post a customer service question here.

Instead, please email support@another71.com and we’ll jump on it.

    – Please keep your question to 3 sentences or less.

It keeps you from spending your time writing a novella, when that time is better spent studying. It helps me to quickly get to the “heart” of question.

    – Please make your question study advice/study tip related (not technical or MCQ related).

…Something that I can quickly answer vs needing to go research a technical CPA Exam question.

If it’s a NINJA MCQ question…please email it to support@another71.com with a screenshot, the question # and what the question/concern is about the MCQ and I can better address it that way.

    – Finally – Please only post in here if you have a question.

I’ll get dizzy sifting through who has a question vs who is responding.

    To Your Success,

    jeff

    Hi Jeff,
Is it true that the UCC is no longer tested on REG?
I have heard from several people that UCC has been removed, but I can't tell for sure from the blue prints.

    Thank you,

    Rebecca

    Hi Jeff,

I take REG on May 22nd. I am finding it hard to grasp anything so far. I was able to pass BEC and AUD in Q1 using predominantly NINJA MCQ. I also have Becker, and with their revamp of their software, it is making me a bit nervous about the new exam format. Do you recommend me using the same methods (focusing predominantly on MCQ) or should my approach be different for REG seeing as the exam is now 50% SIMS? Any recommendation for a study plan will be helpful.

    Hi Jeff,

If you were to take the CPA Exam today, which section do you think you'd score the highest in? Just curious!
Thanks for all your hard work!

    Hi Jeff,

For AUD Sim# 63. The answer is different to that provided for the same question in Wiley's materials. Please see the link https://imgur.com/a/2i1ko
    Which answer is correct?

@Jeff – If A CPA Review book fell off an office desk and no CPAs are around, does it make a sound?

    Hi Jeff,
I'm using the NINJA method for REG and using Becker- the updated materials. Once I finish all the REG videos and MCQ- do I rewrite and then start on NINJA MCQ? When doing NINJA, should I start on one topic and or random sets?
    Thanks so much!

Does the Ninja MCQ have tasked based sims for BEC? The site currently only says essays.

    Thanks!

I thought about this – and I still think it would be REG. Taxes and Business Law click with me easier than the other sections for some reason. I scored a 92 back in the day (not on my first attempt, however…I have my long, sad 74-74 story…)

I tend to “freeze” on exam day … I know the material, but scared to death of getting something wrong. I don't know if anyone can relate.

My second strongest section would be AUD. It also clicks with my brain easier than the grind that is BEC and there are certain topics in FAR that are barely more palatable than being water boarded.

    Interesting question!

    Which answer is correct?”

Let me answer it this way: If you believe NINJA is wrong and have some supporting reasons, I will gladly dig into it. It's hard for me to answer “why is your answer different from another provider's answer” because I don't have their materials in front of me to make sure it's apples/apples and it could be that the other provider is incorrect and I would invest 30 minutes figuring that out. I'm not saying that they are incorrect, but I just don't know. Again – if you think NINJA is incorrect and can support your stance, I'll gladly invest the time. Please email support@another71.com and I'll look at it if this is the case.

Hey Rachel! If you're going to use Becker MCQ for the NI(N) … then start on NINJA after the Notes-rewrite and I would do them topically. You'll really need to hustle on the notes re-write to allow yourself a good 7-10 days for NINJA MCQ.

Same thing if you're using NINJA for the NI(N)…I would do them topically as well.

Not yet…the AICPA hasn't even released any BEC SIMS to the providers yet … I think they come out soon per a message I received. Any BEC SIMS floating around out there are homegrown/instructor created.

My solution to help the NINJAs with the BEC SIMS was to include 3 of the Bisk Hot Spot videos covering Economics, Cost Accounting, and Financial Management with handouts. I think these 3 areas are ripe for testing via a SIM…it just makes sense that these core areas would be tested.
