I know for MCQs harder questions hurt less and are worth more compared to easier ones.
Is it same for SIMs too? If so, does it mean that having easier SIMS aren’t necessarily a good thing?

I've actually been wondering this since my FAR retake a few weeks ago. My retake SIMs were almost all twice as complicated and time consuming as those on my first exam. Also, all but one SIM on my retake required skills from several different concepts, while my first exam SIMs all focused on only one concept. I haven't received my score for the retake yet, but there is no way those two sets of SIMs should be weighted equally. Absolutely no way. If they are, then the CPA exam is deeply flawed.

Honestly, I think they might be. I just got done with FAR, and compared to my last test, the SIMs this time felt suspiciously too easy…

I felt my FAR SIMS were suspiciously easy as well, and it worked out ok for me. I definitely got the research correct and 100% of 1, if not 2 SIMS correct.
