Applying for new NTS after failing

    Hi,

I recently found out that I had failed AUD a few days ago. Hence, I would like to retake the exam sometime in the Q3 window (looking at mid to end of August possibly).

The only thing is that my NTS does not expire until July 10th and I still have BEC to take (am taking July 2nd) so I am studying for that as of the moment. I know that it takes some time to reapply for an NTS but I am not sure how long it takes or if I can even apply for one until my current NTS expires.

Any thoughts on applying for a NTS though my current one has not expired? I am a CA candidate.

Your NTS for AUD was forced to expire the date you used it, you no longer have an active NTS for AUD and are able to apply for a new one for that section.

In CA it takes three weeks to get a new NTS. That is why I always mailed a check a week before an exam. I failed I already mailed in an application. And I passed, I could use that NTS for something else.

    AUD - 74, 99 !!
    REG - 74, 92
    BEC - 83
    FAR - 73, 86

I applied for my NTS on June 10th, paid for it online through CPA central and recieved my NTS on the 11th. I live in WA. It is true the NTS expires the day you take your exam, just for that exam though. It will work for your other.

Hope this helps and Good luck
