I’m retaking Audit next…

don’t really know what’s the most efficient way to re-study for an exam….

someone has experience please give me some advice.

I failed audit and then was able to pass a few months later. You really have to understand the assertions and the reports. When going through the multiple choice, explain to yourself why the answer you are choosing is right and why the other answers are wrong. I think that is what really got me over the hurdle. I also took my own notes from the book.

did you still gone through all the lectures? or mostly focus on your weakness from last time?

Are you using Becker?

I only watched the lectures on “major” topics and I basically determined that by if the question set had more than 50 questions on the topic.

I feel that writing notes (even if it is copying the text verbatim) is more helpful than the lecture.

I retook each exam, and the only way I got passing scores was review everything all over again. Watch every video and review every question and look over your notes again, If you can not recall or recite what you wrote, then most likely you are going into the exam the same that you went in the first time. It is time consuming to review again, but it is worth the time once you get that passing grade.

I just found out that I passed AUD on my second attempt. I actually didn't re-watch any lecture videos. I bought the Ninja MCQs (I already had Roger–felt like I needed something else) and just hammered through them like a madman. I think the big difference this time through was actually stopping to take notes on each question I got wrong. It's advice I'd already heard, but in the past, my laziness prevailed. Making myself do it really made a difference.

I did the same as @Dan. Did not re-watch any lectures. I did re-read the entire book and took really good notes again. Didn't even go back to my first notes from the first attempt. Just studied like I didn't study it before. I also worked Ninja MCQ 2nd time around for AUD. I left a week to review. It's very important to leave yourself enough review time. With AUD I will tell you when I was re-studying I got away from memorizing things. I started writing it all out and walking myself through the audit process in my head. I'd go to work and be able to explain to others what I was learning. That's how I knew I was starting to really understand it. You can see I went from a 54 to a 78. By the way, first time around I did not use Ninja MCQ at all.
