i really cannot see the light at the end of my public accounting job search tunnel. NASBA offers this service for Internationals for $700 and encourages domestics to inquire if interested. They provide the service for 7 states none of which I am a resident.
NC limits use of the CPA designation to those approved by the same board whose experience I can not meet due to being short 6 months of experience under direct supervision of an active CPA.
The job I work in now may provide the additional 6 months if I understand what this service offers and can pass the interview with the participating CPA from NASBA.
or I may be able to transfer my scores to Massachusetts and qualify as non Reporting CPA.
Will either of these options do me any good if NC limits my use of the designation?
Anyone had to jump through a hoop like this to get to a happy ending?
Thanks.
