    Hi All,
Ive bugged the state board so many times but I feel like I havent gotten a concrete response from them.
I graduated with 124 and passed my CPA, and I am currently taking my last required accounting course through LSU – which I am calm about because the forum had a lot of students from NY.

I was about to register for 3 more courses from LSU Online (psych, geography & sociology) – and my cart was labeled “Continuing Education,” now I remember in one of the emails to the board, they specifically stated that they do not accept continuing education courses.

To cut to the chase, can anyone please confirm if they are from NYS and have taken several LSU ODL courses (the non accounting & business related ones specifically) and had no issues when the time came for license?

    Thanks!!!

Email your New York Coordinator at cpaes-ny@nasba.org since they are the ones approved to evaluate the education needed to sit and for licensure.

If you haven't gotten a response from the NYS board, email Nasba.

Someone in one of your previous posts provided a direct email. Did you email him?

_Even though there is a Big ass CONTINUING EDUCATION LOGO lol, all of the courses listed should count as College Credits and not CPE (Continuing Education)

ACCT 4235 – Fraud Auditing and Forensic Accounting
    KIN 2600 – Human Sexuality

I took the above classes along with another Econ course through LSU and NYS accepted all the credits. Be mindful though, that the Psych and Sociology courses you are looking to take are not Duplicates of courses you already took during your undergrad. To confirm this, you would have to email syllables from both classes to the NYS coordinator, who then forwards it to a diff department for review ( I had this issue with an Advanced Accounting Course, It was 1 course worth 4 credits at my college) Post graduation I looked to take Advanced Accounting II at a different college, but upon having the syllabes reviewed they were classified as duplicate credits, so the Advance II class wouldn't have counted towards 150 requirement.

    Hope this helps.
