I am just trying to do a survey to know if people failed due to only sims or it could be either MCQ or SIMs ?
Just curious if someone did comparable in SIMs but failed .

I got stronger in SIMS the first time I took FAR, ended up with a 64 on the exam since my MCQ were from outer space and flagged so many of them. Im sure there's others who have gone through the same experience with the exams

Honestly the report doesn't have that much value. My previous attempt score in 60s I got weaker on both MCQ and SIMS. This time in the 50's I got comparable in MCQ and weaker in SIMS. Now, how in the world does that make sense?? Lower score but better breakdown? Hence, I have completely ignore these report by now.

@IwannaCPA ,fully agree with you ,once I had got 72 and it said weaker in MCQ and Weaker in SIMs. Man ,3 less than pass and weaker in both ? Automated message has it's own limitation.

From my own personal experience sims play a huge part in pass/fail. I failed REG 4 times and almost always got stronger/comparable in mcq's. I think only once did I get weaker in a section. However, I always got weaker in sims, so thats where I'm drawing my conclusion.

To the above posters points, don't read into it too much. When they say comparable they mean comparable to other candidates that PASSED the exam, so assuming candidates that passed averaged around a 77-80 you could score a 72 in a section and be considered “Weaker” or you could score a 20 and still be “Weaker” thus, telling you absolutely little about how you did.

    FAR - 78
REG - 72,74,71...please just go away REG nobody likes you!
    BEC - 82
    AUD - Aug 16

@HOOSIER, what is one way I can improve on my SIMS? Yes, knowing the concept but sometimes I think its the mass amount of info thrown at me and limited time I panicked a bit.. I guess this time I will practice more SIMS.

    Wanna Free-

I passed BEC with a 81!! that was after 2-74's. Thanks for your strategy on how to overcome this beast

    Something interesting for everyone-

I got a 74 on audit from Q3. My breakdown was as follows:

    -3 weaker areas in MCQ
    -1 Stronger area in MCQ

    Overall:

    Comparable in MCQ
    Weaker SIMS.

And I got 74?!? I would think much lower score based on the above

I got a 72 on FAR and got Comparable on Sims. so yes, you can get Comparable on Sims and still fail.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

@Hoosier, if you read the description is says the terms are defined this way

“The information below is based on your performance as compared to just-passing candidates (i.e. candidates with a total score between 75 and 80)”

so, if you score Weaker in an area that tells you that you scored less than those who scored between 75-80 on the entire exam, but not if you scored a 74 or a 12.

if you score Stronger in an area that tells you that you scored higher than those who scored between a 75-80 on the entire exam, but not if you scored an 81 or a 99.

in my opinion, it's not that much help.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

I scored a 74 on BEC, and both the sims and writing challenges were tagged as stronger than passing candidates. Of course, my MCQ were weaker – although I was stronger in two areas, comparable in two and weaker in one. So basically, that weak section is the reason I didn't pass.

I got 69 on AUD, took the test on Sep the 10th. (rescheduled twice because the Houston flood).
My report has 2 weaker and 2 comparable.

For FAR, I took on Sep the 6th, got 66.
Has 2 weaker, 1 comparable and 1 stronger.

For BEC, took in July. Got 79 with both MCQ and SIM stronger and a weaker written communication.(I know my English is really suck.)

For REG which I passed in May, got 76 with one weaker and one stronger(SIM).

I know how much effort I put into each exam and by looking the result compare with how I felt after each exam, I now just pray I will have better luck for the next take. lol
