Any way to tell which simulation will be dropped?

I know this is kind of a long shot and I’m sure there’s no sure way of knowing…

But does anyone know if there’s any way of telling which simulation in each testlet section will be dropped. Only 5 of the 8 are counted if I’m correct (1 from each testlet)?

I just took FAR today and on my last set of simulations I was able to get the research question with no problems. However, going through the last 2 simulations I was low on time and spent way too much time on the one I wasn’t sure on and had to rush through the last one as a result (which I probably would have been able to do better on had I done that one first).

Just curious more for future reference if this ever occurs again where I am short on time if there is any sort of indication as to which one would more than likely be the “dropped” simulation.

Time managements never been an issue for me so when all of a sudden I was going way over budget for all my simulations I was definitely left in a bit of a panic. I usually budget my time wisely just was off my game today. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

It's only 1 simulation will be drop. So 7/8 will count. Unless you work for the AICPA grading these exams, there is no way you can tell. Under certain cases if you get 2 research questions on your exam, there is a good chance of one of those will be dropped.

Like Anthony said, really no way to know for sure. Although on my FAR exam I had one sim that was super oddball that stood out to me. I feel like I did terrible on it and based on my high score it is likely that question was the pretest. So, if you ever get any sim that ever stands out significantly you could take a decent gamble and not dedicate as much time to that one question.
