Am I ready for BEC?

    I take BEC on June 7, 2016.

I use Gleim Premium by itself, and I studied the first 7 chapters of BEC along with the other sections

when I first got Gleim Back in May 6th until I finally figured out an exam plan on May 20th, and afterwards

started hitting BEC heavily, having read all 20 chapters of BEC by May 23rd.

During that time, and especially after I finished, I did many MCQ quizzes in Gleim, usually 30 questions a piece and

always having it give me questions I haven’t seen yet. I would usually score around 80-85ish, and I would take notes

in a word document when I got a question wrong or if I got it right by luck.

At any rate, after about a week or so of about 200 MCQs a day (I have about 250 remaining),

I’ve gotten a feeling that I understand the material. Do you think that this is an indication that I’m truly ready for test day? Or do you think I’m overconfident?

If you get respectable scores on cost/econ and you have the finance formulas/corporate management stuff memorized it sounds good to me.

The writing portion is free points if you use proper grammar and can structure a business letter.

Keep doing what you're doing and you're good. Just don't lose this work ethic by the time you get to a long CPA section like FAR!

    BEC - 78 (August 2015)
    FAR - 80 (November 2015)
AUD - 73, 67. (Ok I gotta confess I was even more lazy this time around)
    REG - August 27th, 2016

I generally have 2 or 3 study sessions of 2 hours long every day. So like 4-6 hours a day spread throughout the day.

(I have the summer off before starting Grad School in August).

Despite my feeling of overall understanding the material, I get rather concerned I might not be doing enough when I read posts about people studying for 8-10 hours straight every day.

I spent maybe 30 hours studying for my exam. I didn't memorize most of the finance formulas so I guessed on all those questions. I also neglected a lot of the COSO/corporate governance stuff. If you have that down you're already better than I was and I passed.

Keep drilling your MCQ and reviewing everything and you'll be fine.

What concerns me is you're doing your FAR studying in one month and it's also the same month you start grad school. I'd advise you to reconsider giving yourself more time for REG and FAR each. But that's just me. Other people have definitely done it in that time frame as well.

I feel quite a bit better now.

Thank you for your time, and good luck on your exams! Hoping you passed your AUD rematch!
