All the best guys who are taking exam in Q3. Keep your cool ,don’t get panic by sheer volume of words in SIMs. Please understand this is the new format where SIMs would be long and too many informational tabs to read and that’s new normal so no whining 🙂
New mantra of new format : Try to sprint MCQ (90 minutes )and you will be fine. SIMs are easy just you need 2.5 Hours.

That's truly my same thought process on the new exam format from the exam I have taken.

I dont think rushing through mcq is sound advice. Personally i would take my time with mcq and then do the best i can on sims. That being said, you should keep your eye on the clock regardless. Im not 100 percent sure of the new format but chances are people will do better on mcq and poorer on sims, so you dont want to do poorly on mcq. You have a better shot of passing if you do poorly on sims then if you were to do poorly on mcq, since more people will do better on mcq. Just my perspective, good luck!

I agree with maxb. Unless you're a CPA material wiz that has everything memorized verbatim and can nail 95%+ of the questions in any software then more power to you for rushing through it. An hour for each testlet is a fine benchmark imo leaving at most 2 hours for the sims. The real trick and difficulty is to time your simulations perfectly. You don't want to spend too much time on each sim but you also don't want to rush through some, have a bunch of time left and wish you could have used it on a harder sim.

If you have been studying hard, you should be able to fly through the mcq in like a 1 hr to 1hr and 10/20 minutes. Lets face it, MCQ is you either you know it or you don't. The exam isn't throwing mcq questions like in Gleim where the questions can be like a paragraph long.

Can we agree that not more than 2 SIMs are really “BIG in Basket” not all 8 SIMs are “CAR in BIG” type long questions ? If that's the case then you have 6 SIMs which are manageable.
So if you can do MCQ in 90 minutes and rest of SIMs can be solved @20-30 minutes per SIM.
Most of the people are comfortable with MCQ ( except taking more time ) .If you see the things from.
this perspective you can pass FAR.Even in old format people who have passed FAR or REG have not solved all MCQ and all SIMs.
Moral of the story : regardless of two big SIMs FAR can be passed.

Thanks for the time advice. I have gone through a few sims in reg and I will incorporate a time strategy in my next go round. This is good because it completely slipped my mind, even though time has been added to reg, I don't want to spend too much time with irrelevant information. The best way to have time is to budget time.

    It begins with a 75
Been here too long as a cheerleader....ready to pass
