Has anyone got a CPA license from Alaska with non-major in accounting?
Their requirements are so confusing as below:A) Degree and Accounting Concentration which includes:
a completed bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, conferred by a regionally accredited college or university;
24 semester hours in Accounting;
3 semester hours in Business Law;
3 semester hours in Economics; and
3 semester hours in college level math, statistics and/or computer scienceor B) Degree and Accounting which includes:
a completed bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, conferred by a regionally accredited college or university; and 15 semester hours in Accounting.So, in order to be licensed, how many accounting credits are required? 24 or 15? Requirement A is much more strict than requirement B. Neiteher the NASBA coordinator or the Board of Accountancy gave me a reply about this question.
