[Amortized and Energized]

Just wondering what others here have encountered. Has anybody joined both the AICPA and their state society?

Seems like you’d be paying a lot of dues for the same thing from what I’ve seen online.

My firm requires AICPA membership for all CPAs and encourages us to join our state society as well. Luckily, they also reimburse for both, otherwise I'd probably only have AICPA (I think the CPE selection and overall perks are better). It blows my mind how expensive this license would be to maintain without firm sponsorship.

Thanks, yea my company doesn't reimburse. I'm in industry though, not public. They don't require membership. I think they do reimburse to keep the license active though since it's of benefit to the company to do so. I was thinking the same thing though, it's a lot of $$$ to shell out. I've heard good things about the life insurance available through AICPA.
