So, I ran through every question on NInja MCQ with the following results:

    Average Score: 78%

    Trending Score: 86%

    0 questions not seen

Here are the facts of my situation:

    1) Spent 5 weeks studying only CPAExcel

    2) Spent the last 2 weeks doing nothing but Ninja MCQs

    3) One week left until exam

I was wondering if you all could give me opinions on how best to utilize the last 7 days before the exam (I will be using one of these days to review WC only). I feel like Ninja MCQs have helped me TREMENDOUSLY in reinforcing what I learned in CPAExcel, and I want to make sure that I retain all that information. However, I have done so many MCQs that it’s to the point where I fear that I’m memorizing many of them and thus they are not as effective. That said, should I:

    1) skim the CPAExcel material again

    2) Keep doing MCQs

    3)???

    Help! 🙂

Bear-Bear, I am in the exact same boat. I take BEC on 4/29 and its my final section so I understand where you are coming from. I have already completed Ninja all the way through once, and have done a little Becker but I personally hate Becker so I decided to hit Ninja again. I would recommend resetting your stats, and drilling as many MCQ as you can between now and then to give you a clear indication of where you stand.

go through ninja mcq “trouble questions” keep reading the responses that come up. take a ninja practice exam to see how you do for time. for the WC you don't need to spend a full day – just understand the formatting and speed up your writing. hit your weak areas and keep shooting for 100% trending as you go

also, ask for a handheld calculator at prometric so you have option of using both during exam. i spent way too much time and energy dealing with the online calculator during my exam and it is too close to the exit button.

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different

I entered my BEC exam with a similar average % but I hit the review phase like 3 days before my exam. I would suggest going over the trouble questions and then the missed last time seen questions. 7 days is a lot of time so I would also print out a detailed report from the MCQs and see were my weak areas are. Go to the AICPA CSOs and see what % of your weak areas will be on the exam. To hit my weak areas I went to the books and I would hit MCQs till it make sense to me. Make sure you go over the basic formulas, and by basic I mean those that seem to pop up the most of the time on the MCQs. Go over the IT section on the Wiley book, I found it to be very useful for the terminology on the exam. And lastly do not waste an entire day on the WC, as you may have noticed by now from my writing, english is my second language and still I passed. I invested like 30 minutes the day before seeing the context of the answers and to get an idea of the structure and that was it. On the exam I copy (ctrl+c) and paste (ctrl+v) the question and made it my introduction and I tried to make sure that in the other two paragraph there were not grammar errors and that I threw in some buzz words related to the topic.

By your a average I can say that you have a strong foundation, skim over the book these last days and hit those mcqs trying not to forget the material. You should be fine, the ninja mcqs were much harder for me than the real exam.
