I just took Audit today which is my last test to be done. I looked at past year’s average CPA exam scores by quarter that the AICPA releases. Has anyone ever noticed that the 4th quarter scores are substantially lower than the 2nd and 3rd quarters for almost all tests each year? Just curious if anyone has a possible explanation for that.

I read an article a few months back that hypothesized that the lower scores in Q4 were due to the both the busy holidays and people starting jobs in q3 so not enough time was spent studying… after the murderous BEC exam I had though I am thinking conspiracy to make earn more revenue / meet budget in q1 of the next year 🙂
