Alright, the testing window for Q2 opens up a week from tomorrow. Any fellow first time FAR exam testers out there ready to tackle it next week? I take it next Monday and I’m currently in week 2 of my two week final review stage of just doing about a hundred MCQs everyday and brushing up on my trouble areas which seem to be everything right now. I have to admit that my frustration level has gone through the roof on the amount of MCQs that I’m getting wrong since I’ve read the entire Wiley FAR book and watched every video. It appears that the early information from January and February is extremely foggy. I’m thinking I should have condensed my preparation time. Anyway, Spring break starts tomorrow here so I took the entire week off work to avoid any work distractions and buckle down for the home stretch. Good Luck to everyone.

Cumulative quizzes once a week is vital to keeps the ideas fresh in your head.
Too much to forget if you stretch it out.

What field are you currently working in that you can bang out of work for a week in March/April??
    Must be nice!!

I'll have to remember to take quizzes during my review when I prepare for my next exam. I initially tried to keep things fresh by simply reviewing Wiley flashcards on previous lessons but as I got further along it became a part-time job to keep track of where I was on the old stuff. I admit it didn't dawn on me to keep doing MCQs and assessment questions of all the previous lessons as I progressed through the material. Main reason for that is because I budgeted 2 weeks for review that I thought would compensate for not doing a cumulative review during my initial review phase. My next exams are going to have shorter prep times so I'm going to have to incorporate a cumulative review.

I'm a senior staff accountant with a government agency. Our accounting office has 6 accountants (3 senior and 3 junior), 3 account techs, and the accounting manager. Over the past few years, our regional office turns into a virtual ghost town during the week of spring break. You would think it's a college campus but obviously it isn't. Even our regional director was MIA last year during this time. Very weird. This is a recent phenomenon and was the perfect time for me to take off. Plus my manager takes every spring break off which tends to bring a crap load of his work to me when that happens.
