2017 Exam Changes: When do they take effect?

Hey guys, obviously I am aware that 2017 will spawn material changes to the CPA exam. I’ve just passed my first section of the exam but I will have to take at least one section during 2017, Quarter 1.

I remember hearing in school that the exam changes will not take effect until Quarter 2 of 2017; does anyone know any truth to this? Or do they take effect in January of 2017?

I’m sure this has been answered in here before but the search function did me no good this time around. Thanks!
