2017 CPA Materials for 2018 Exam

    I have a 2017 course that I haven’t used.

    But I also have Wiley 2018 test bank.

    Should I buy an updated 2018 review or could I pass with the 2017 material?

    I really don’t want to pay for an update. What do you all think?

    What is the 2017 course that you have? I never used the physical Becker book I just read the digital book. Which is updated all the time.

    I’m using Yaeger material. I have to pay for an update due to their new rules (constant free updates but “life” got in my way to take the exams since 2014). I was hoping most of the concepts would be the same. If not, I will get NINJA or Gleim 2018.

    I think it’s going to depend on the section. BEC and AUD might be ok, but you might need updates for REG and FAR because of the amount of changes this year. Ninja is great, so if you’re looking for a cheap alternative I recommend it. I used Ninja exclusively for REG twice, and passed both times. I used Ninja last year and went 3/4, and only missed BEC because I tried to cut corners. Should have known better.

    REG - 75
    FAR - 7/15/16
    BEC - TBD

    Definitely not for FAR.
