Has anyone in the past had 2 research simulations out of the total simulations and passed or failed? Does this mean anything if you get two research simulations?

One was probably a pre-test and will be tossed out… I'm waiting on my audit score, only had one research though.

There is a very high chances that 1 of the research is a pretest but it may not.

I had two research Sims during my second AUD exam — I failed with a 63.

First AUD exam I had only one — I failed with a 69.

I believe having two research questions makes it harder to pass because more than likely the second research is a pre-test and the other Sims (which could be brutally hard) will be counted (which is what I think happened during my second exam because I scored stronger on the MCQs vs. weaker on the Sims).

Don't take my word for it though, I'm sure you have people who pass with two research Sims as well.

I found the answer to both my research questions yesterday. And I felt like I guessed on at least 3 of the other SIMS so I'm really worried since it is likely that all the SIMS I guessed on will be counted in my score.

I had two research SIMS on my Audit retake and I think they counted because I did NOT feel good about any of the other SIMS. People pass and/or fail all of the time with 2 research SIMS, so there are mixed reviews. I wouldn't assume one is pretest, but at the same time one very well might be pretest. The AICPA isn't going to let us know, so no sense in stressing! (which is impossible)

I found the answers to both of my Sims as well…almost word for word.

I would not worry…nothing can be done at this point. Worst comes to worst, you retake it. And move on.

I finished my exam a couple of hours ago and I had two research questions as well. I'm crossing my fingers both of them count.

I took AUD in January 2016 and I had 2 research SIMs. I was actually kind of ticked because I wanted one of the other SIMS to be thrown out. I found my 2 research ones very quickly. I don't think there is a correlation between 2 research and pass/fail – it's just the luck of the draw.

For what it's worth, I had 2 research questions on my AUD exam in January and passed. Those were the only sims I was 100% sure about too.

I took AUD on Feb 13th and also had 2 research sims. Don't think there is a correlation with how you are doing on the exam. Will find out my score tomorrow.

What's the best way to work on the AL sims? What's the best technique to find the answer quickly? I am having a hard time with AL

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

Brief overview of study method:
1. Skim through chapter quickly
2. Watch lecture videos
3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

I'm in a masters program of 100+ people, and we're ALL taking the CPA so I talk and compare to a lot of people… this testing window, everyone I know who took audit had 2 research SIMS. I have no idea if that means thats the new norm, of if they're just testing out a lot of new research sims to test later in the year and one is a pre-test!

DONE DONE DONE and DONE all on the first try! It IS possible, just keep on studying!
