Would you rather be a CPA or a zombie?

    I’ve been contemplating this a lot lately….

They both have their similarities. First it’s all torment and anguish as you go through the exams/are being eaten alive, but then it gets a little better once you get to play out the rest of your years as a numb, soulless creature groaning in exasperation through all hours of the night after everyone else has gone home/to their bunker.

On one hand, zombies have to deal with the smell of rotting flesh pretty much 24/7, but then again they don’t have to cope with quite as much company bureaucracy. Also, I’d say brains for zombies are probably on par with happy hours for CPAs; we love them but in they’ve been known to get messy.

I don’t know, what do you guys think? I mean technically they’re not mutually exclusive, but pretend you HAD to pick one or the other…

    FAR- 82 (December 2013)
    BEC- 88 (January 2014)
    AUD-94 (January 2014)
    REG- 84 (February 2014)

    They call me the Kid

If you pay for the medical expenses of a zombie and you provide more than 50% of their support, is it deductible?

    Anyone know?

Does the zombie live with you?

Actually I'd think it's not deductible because IRS would say zombie is dead, so you can't claim a dead person??

I'd be CPA because zombies are not well groomed in general.

Jeff I have 4 zombies in my cellar, so yes you can put them down as dependents. They ate the last IRS agent that said otherwise;)

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

@jeff do they satisfy any of the relationship tests? @vanadium3 sadly, you can claim a dead person, if they were born and died in the same year.

For clarification CPA's and zombies are one in the same. Be careful what you wish for, CPA's in tax practice get less rest that CPA candidates.

    .. . I will crawl back into my CPA cellar now . . .

Would free healthcare bring them back from the dead?

I would rather be a living CPA, and enjoy the free time outside of tax season. Being a Zombie, it's all fun and brains until Rick comes along and smashes your head in with a crowbar.

Jeff – I do not see them qualifying as a dependent, but do see the argument as a deductible medical expense. Take Mishone for instance, I could see her deducting the cost of her katana, walker slaves, and other related materials as a medical expense. I would argue that they are preventative medical equipment to ensure health and well being. Let's face it, the IRS needs taxpayers, and I do not see Zombies paying taxes. Plus, could you imagine the medical expenses of being a Zombie? The medical charges are already increasing, and I do not want to know what the bill will be for eating a Doctor.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
