Hi Guys
Just reaching out to Another71 to get some advice/wisdom.
So i currently work at a top 8 accounting firm in the bay area and recently got promoted from staff to experienced staff. I had received a performance rating of “keep improving”, as I had some trouble early during busy season with the teams that I was on, but was able to show improvement to get the promotion. I had begun applying recently to different Big 4 positions, as I wasn’t sure what my future was with my company.
Recently I received an email asking if I would be willing to discuss a contract position with one of big 4 firms for busy season. As such, I just wanted to get your guys perspective on whether it would be worth it to leave a stable top 8 accounting firm job for a contract job for the Big 4. I’ve always heard having B4 on resume is good, but would it be worth the risk? Also if anyone knows if the Big 4 company would consider hiring me full time if they have considered giving me a contract.
Thanks so much, any input is greatly appreciated!
