I am 2 for 4 in CPA exam adventure. After the exam the only thing left is to fulfill the work requirement. I am an accountant for a state agency but the only CPA retired a couple months ago. I enjoy my job and I don’t want to leave it. Anyone have any creative suggestions or recommendations to gain the work experience (one year experience gained by full-time employment under supervision of CPA)? I am not looking for ways to circumvent or get over just a way I can get the experience without searching for employment all over again..

Did you work for that CPA for a year and is he/she still a licensed CPA? The obvious answer is to find him/her, meet up for a coffee or something and ask him/her to sign off.
