Hello Folks,

Can someone tell me if private wealth management intern can be count as a work experience in Virginia? I interned with a PWM firm last summer for six months, not supervised by CPA but a CFA, and did corporate finance supervised by a CPA two years ago. So, assuming I can pass all the exams by August, I would like to be licensed in Virginia since their work experience is more flexible and does not require supervisor be a CPA. However, after reviewing the work experience requirement, I am not sure if PWM can qualify as a relevant work experience since it was mostly about finance.

I would follow up with your state board, but I would imagine the corporate finance supervised by a CPA would qualify.
