I don’t know what I will be happy with the most: Actually having my CPA or not having to listen to people give unsolicited advice/opinions about the CPA.
This one really isn’t a biggie but three tests in and five weeks to go until the (hopefully!) last I can barely stand innocent comments. This one today, from my best friend:
(Note this is on IM)
Me: Scheduled the next one, February 2nd
Her: A month is a good amount of time, you can throw yourself into it but know it won’t last forever
Me (in my head): what the hell is it that you think I have been doing this whole time?
Me (on IM): A month wasn’t enough for two of them but I think it’s perfect for this one.
I didn’t mean to be crappy but people have no way of knowing what studying for this thing is like! Study time cannot be gauged by anyone other than the test taker. I have read that other people needed only 2 weeks for BEC, you frickin rock. Me, I need more.
I know I am over reacting. She didn’t mean anything by it. I just can’t wait for this to be over so I can be less of an asshole/grumpy cat/pain in the ass/emotional wreck.
But don’t get me started on when my grandfather was telling me how he thinks PEs are more important than CPAs because they “build” bridges. I had to remind him that if it weren’t for CPAs my company (which does build bridges) wouldn’t have the funds to even pay the PEs to begin to design those bridges.
My CPA vent for the day.
