@ Amor D, I'll answer you the REG study group because this is a technical question.

i worked in tax for many years, for a small CPA firm with S-corp, C-corp, partnership, individual, fiduciary clients. heck, we even do a gift tax or GST tax return every once in a while, I thought i was very well-rounded when it comes to tax and have seen many scenarios, I thought I was a baller and would pass REG with ease.

that is…until i started studying for REG. i falsely thought my experience in tax would give me an advantage. i am very discouraged after my first few days of studying. the material is absolutely crazy and unfit for memorization. we go to CCH database to look anything technical up. nobody in their right mind is expected to have this stuff memorized except for a CPA candidate, . I have 30 days left until the exam and i think i screwed myself over.

this thread is on point! i share your frustrations guys.

Although I never did phenomenally well with Audit, this is the first exam I had to breakdown and pay the fee to reschedule. It is taking me forever to get through the material! Pushed it back from Jan 18 to Feb 13.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Tax is what happens when the blowhard parent who always says “because I told you so” writes a big fat rulebook.

    FAR 57 (11/2014), 64 (1/2015), 79 (7/2015)
    AUD 68 (2/2015), 79 (11/2015)
    REG 79 (1/2016)
    BEC 81 (4/2016)
