Why can't they give us normal scrap paper to write on during the test?

I hate using those laminated sheets with a marker! Anyone feel the same?

I’m just curious why they are not providing normal paper?

do u only get 2 at a time? we only get 2 and when used have to go out of the room to exchange them which is very inefficient. you aren't supposed to leave the test room unless ur in between testlets, yet for a scrap paper exchange they break the rules

Yep, 2 at a time. It's just hard to concentrate when writing on laminated PINK grid paper.

Trees are important, but so are the tests.

For $250 a test, they should really consider providing some paper!!!!!!

You mean you don't like the half-dead markers and the impossible-to-erase laminated sheets?

You seriously get actual plain paper and a pencil (not a marker)?

yeah, two pieces of blank paper stapled together. I write my launch code on the top of one of them. And two new or very newish pencils, freshly sharpened with good erasures. And I last tested this last November, so…. is crappy paper and marker a new change that just hasn't made it to AK yet?

Could be. Weve had the laminated paper for ovr a year. It irritating bc its blue or yellow paper with thick black grid lines and its laminated. The lite reflects off it in an irritating way and the black mRker on thick black grid lines doesnt help. Just another little irritating thing

At my testing center, they used a different color for each day of the week. I had pink, green, and yellow noteboards depending on which day I tested on.

maybe they caught on to the method used to write all the notes or formulas on the paper. they can erase the notes on the erase boards but could be accused of passing answers on paper. just a thought. But using those boards are so annoying, and the little pens have no ink. It really is a distraction. How can this procedure be petitioned? Even though I can't remember enough stuff to write on the boards or paper, this has not streamlined the process at all.

    It begins with a 75

others above have stated they get actual paper so it doesn't sound like it's an aicpa policy, and if it is, it's not being uniformly enforced.

I actually like the laminated sheets. I do not like the markers because they are usually pretty weak.

    Let's start a petition!

Before my first exam I was really worried about these things having read all of the comments here. I have to say though that they never bothered me that much, but that could be because I almost never used them. Would write my access code and a couple of notes on the front before I started but for calculations and such I just ended up using the computer calculator and if I had to reference a portion of my calculation I just looked back on the tape.

Just curious, what to you guys use the scratch laminates for?

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?
