I am scheduled to take AUD on 1/18. I noticed a lot of thread mentioning AUD so I thought why not create a thread to support each other. Personally, I am very nervous about this one even tho the topic is easy. I’ve heard it is the silent killer.

Please provide your exam date and let us know your thoughts after the exam. I’m sure many of us will be awaiting for score after Feb 7th.

I'm scheduled to take AUD on 1/14. Like you, I am very nervous about this exam as well. It's my first test while on this CPA journey. Hoping for the best!

I am contemplating scheduling mine for the 30th of January.. I am only on A2 using Becker though, so I'm curious if people think the 26 days I have remaining is enough to pass!

I plan to finish all the Becker lectures and MC.. then hammer the NINJA MC and review my weak areas.

Aspiring: 26 days is plenty of time if you have at least 4 hours of study each day. I will be putting in 150 hours for AUD. After going through the material once in Becker, I thought maybe I don't need that much time but the more I review the more I realized the amount of details to remember is a lot. However, if you're still young and just graduated you may require fewer hours.

Jefferson: which study material are you currently using?

ahsq: You never know so don't give up.

It's getting closer to my exam date and I'm starting to get very nervous. I already suffer from test anxiety (failed my permit test when I was 15 by 1 point because I was so nervous). I suck at standardized tests. I'm not saying that the CPA exam is a standardized test but there are similarities between the two. Anyways, I'm adding additional pressure and stress on myself worrying about this exam. I know that we all are in that same boat, but what advice would you give to help someone with test anxiety?

    Thanks you guys!

I'm taking it on 1/30. It seems really easy to me, but it's actually making me more nervous. I feel like I lose a little motivation when the test seems easy, but I know I would kick myself if I failed, so there is more pressure to pass. On my other exams, I just did my best with no expectations of passing. But it's psychologically different this time. I thought I would most enjoy studying for this part, but it actually feels weird.

I'm taking AUD on 3/10. Hopefully it doesn't blizzard and Prometric close! I haven't started studying for AUD yet. Going to start after I sit for REG on 1/18. Good luck everyone!

If you're using Becker, I suggest you start off with Chapter 6, then browse through 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Read the chapters that were lectured by Tim Gearty and just skip his video. Listening to Tim is a waste of time. But for Mike Brown's chapters 4 and 5, it's worth watching his lectures. Mike is actually teaching. While you read, write down important notes that you can use for your final review. Knock out all the HW questions.

    Good luck!

I am taking AUD on 1/20 – 2 weeks to go. I have felt the most confident for this exam but now I am starting to worry as I am making dumb mistakes on the Ninja MCQ's. Also trying to study for FAR at the same time. Good luck to you all!

Mary: I'm constantly making dumb mistakes on the homework questions partly bc I'm too lazy to read everything and the questions are so mindless so my mind is always wondering to other places.

Jefferson: I think most people get a bit nervous before the exam. The thought of having to restudy the material is a nightmare. Usually a week before the exam, I don't sleep very well. My mind races and I'm constantly worried if I studied enough. I think the best you could do is be prepared as you could be and take a break a day before the exam. I know people say to cram cram, but the mind needs a break. I definitely concentrate better on a four hour test and my memory improve tremendously when I unwind before the exam. I never study on the day of the exam regardless what time my appointment is.

Amor: thanks for the tip. I agree Tim Geary's lecture is a waste of time. If only MIke Brown gave all the lectures, I would listen more and read less.

Tg: I feel the same way. I can't seem to focus after 1st round of the material. I can't count how many times I said stupid question and rolled my eyes. however this exam makes me more nervous than any other bc I can't possibly remember everything word for word. Memorization is not my strong point.

Just took it today. Seemed brutal, but I probably didn't put enough study hours in. Good luck!

I take it on the 16th. I did not start studying until a few weeks ago (although I just took advanced auditing fall semester). Now I was informed I have jury duty next week, a friends grandparents calling hours, and my team is in the playoffs this weekend (yes I'm going, I'll study on the drive haha!). I'm only using Wiley test bank & some practice questions I gain confidence from doing so well, others I am convinced I will fail. I like reading what everyone else has experienced, thank you!
