    You know the kind – s/he tells you that you don’t ask intelligent questions. And if you did, s/he is sure others in the office would be glad to answer your questions. Jackass!

    90% of the time my boss is nice as can be. However my kids were less needy as newborns. He will actually call me to ask me how much of his paycheck went to 401k last week. Can't make him understand that the envelope he gets handed every Thursday has the info inside of his weekly paycheck. *sigh* Guess we'll call it job security.

    Sadly yes I am serious. He's a nice enough guy but utterly clueless. We have a training grant from our state and he wanted me to put down that I took a training class in Feb of 2012. He didn't even hire me until Mar 2012, and I've NEVER taken a training class since I've been here. Was like pulling teeth to explain to him that just because he wishes something were so doesn't make it true.

    use it or lose it…FIN. Gov acctg 🙂 does not sound ethical to me to put down you took a class when you actually did not.

    When there is a state grant involved, putting that I took a class that I didn't goes far beyond ethical and crosses into fraud activity. I don't think he was intentionally trying to commit fraud, but lets just say its a good thing for him that I am able and willing to stand up to him and refuse to cave in.
